Ended up at DreamHack Winter this weekend because of a free ticket. It was pretty amazing to see firsthand that punk LAN gaming ain’t dead yet. A cool and nerdy place for both younger generations and older (Hello, nostalgia!). It was probably extra packed since the COVID restrictions went down. And there were some curious activities around. Most of the company booths came well prepared. There was even a little corner with boardgames!
But most interesting to me was to see what games are the mainstream at the end of 2022. There were no surprises there:
- CS:GO
- Fortnight
- Minecraft
- occasional League of Legends
- Nintendo Go Karts and Smash Bros
